In early 2018, Jackie Maglaya was on a mission to lose weight and get fit. “I really went on a crazy journey,” she says. “I hired a personal trainer who made me count my macros and spend a lot of money on meal prep and nutritional supplements.”

But after a few months, the Vancouver, Canada–based mom realized she had shed a few pounds but both her bank account and her energy were depleted. One morning in the Starbucks line, she looked at her Starbucks app and realized she had already spent 80 dollars that week on coffee and egg-white bites. “I remember thinking, ‘Something’s got to give,’ ” she says. “I needed something that was cheaper and easier to do — something that was going to help get me out of bed in the morning.”

She called a friend, who had been posting about how THRIVE had helped her with weight loss support after having a baby, and she decided to try the product. “My Day 1 was amazing — I had lots of energy and I slept like a baby that night,” she says. “On Day 5, I jumped out of bed and looked in the mirror and realized I looked thinner and less bloated!” She showed her Promoter friend before and after pictures, and her friend put the photos on Facebook.

“I watched that post over several hours and wondered if anybody was going to say anything negative, but no one did. Everybody was very encouraging and positive.”

Later that night, Maglaya decided to post the photos on her own Facebook page. She let her friends know that she was just starting her journey and invited them to track her progress.

“From then on, my phone just blew up,” Maglaya says. “Everybody I knew was ready to THRIVE.”

She quickly became a Promoter and started “sending samples like crazy” to friends.

Maglaya achieved the 12K VIP rank in her first month and then shortly after, she earned her Auto Bonus.

Still, “I was very skeptical that this was an opportunity that I could sustain,” she says.

Six months in, she went to a leadership training program Le-Vel had organized for Promoters in the Canadian market. During the event, several Promoters who had earned Le-Vel’s Millionaire Award talked about how they were building their businesses. “I took notes like crazy,” Maglaya says. “I was a sponge, soaking it all in. Going to that event was life-changing for me,” she says. As soon as she left, she put the strategies she’d learned into place, “and I quickly doubled in volume.”

One of the key lessons she learned was how to lock arms with her team members and support one another. Now, as a 200K rank Promoter, Maglaya says that lesson is more important than ever. “You’re not going to get to the top in this business unless you care about helping everyone else hit their goals,” she says. “We’re all in this together.”
