Progress Over Perfection

Lindsey Coggin

Lindsey Coggin doesn’t want to be known as a Pinterest mom.

“I’m not the kind of person who does my hair and make-up before I snap a selfie or cleans my whole house before I go live on Facebook,” says Coggin, a new mom who became a Le-Vel Promoter just under three years ago. “I’m all about being a real person, and I think that’s what’s helped me find my own tribe of Thrivers.”

Coggin began Thriving in early December 2017 after discovering a stranger’s post on Instagram. At the time, she was getting ready to have a minor surgical procedure done and wanted to wean herself off of coffee. “I was drinking five to seven cups a day, and the people at Starbucks knew me just by my voice,” she says. “I knew I needed a healthier option to keep going during the day.”

She scrolled through Instagram and found a Le-Vel Promoter who talked about how amazing she felt on THRIVE. Coggin reached out to the woman and learned more. “She told me that THRIVE wasn’t just a great product, but a business opportunity, too.”

Coggin was initially only interested in using the product, since she kept busy running an online boutique. But after just a few days of completing the three simple steps, “I was hooked,” she says. “I had boundless energy and didn’t crave coffee at all.” And when the person who enrolled her told her how she could THRIVE for free, “I hit the Promoter button and reached the 12K VIP rank before Christmas.”

Since reaching 200K, Coggin has spread the wealth by helping family members start their own THRIVE businesses. Her mom is a 40K-rank leader, and her husband recently hit the rank of 80K and drives a shiny new truck, thanks to Le-Vel’s Auto Bonus.

Her key to success? “I have my flaws and that’s something I share with others,” she says. “I think one thing that’s been inspiring to people who join me is that I let people know that you don’t have to be perfect to do what I’m doing.”

Instead, Coggin says she coaches other people on her team to find something that’s important to them, and “make that your brand to share with others.”

One example: Coggin says that her family — including her two Great Danes — is “everything” to her, so much of what she shares on social media revolves around activities she’s doing with family members.

Prior to her recent wedding, she shared with her social media followers wedding planning tips and how she built her home with her fiancé. She encourages others to find what’s important to them, and run with it.

“I think the biggest thing that some people get wrapped up in is that they have to do everything exactly right when they get started in this business,” she says.

I always tell them, “You’ve got to be okay with the messy part and fail forward. When you try to do everything to a T, you’re no longer relatable.”
