The Comeback Kid

When Hannah Raine’s THRIVE business hit a rough spot, she learned what it really took to become a successful leader

Hannah Raine had always been involved in the fitness industry, so she knows how to take care of herself. But after she had her son, “my entire life flipped over,” she says. “I was so focused on being a mom and wife, I lost the real Hannah.”

She couldn’t find balance and had developed an unhealthy relationship with food. “It’s almost like I forgot to take care of myself.”

But in July of 2019, that all changed. Raine’s good friend, THRIVE Promoter Brittany Plunkett, came to visit her, “and when she stepped out of the car, I was in complete disbelief of how healthy she looked,” Raine says. “She had a radiant glow, and her energy was contagious.”

Plunkett was THRIVING, and encouraged Raine to try the product. “I debated it, but my husband said, ‘What could possibly go wrong with fueling your body with vitamins? Just try it, you deserve it!’”

Very early into her first THRIVE Experience, “I could tell the difference,” she says. “I started feeling so energetic and happy again – more like myself.”
She shared how great she was feeling in her Instagram Stories, and so many friends were asking Raine about THRIVE that Plunkett encouraged her to become a Promoter.

Within a few weeks of trying THRIVE for the first time and becoming a Promoter, Raine reached the 12K VIP rank and earned her Auto Bonus. “It happened very fast,” she says. Maybe a bit too fast.

Excited about her new journey, Raine says she went on vacation with her family and when she came back, she lost focus on her THRIVE business. “I was a terrible leader and kind of let things go,” she says.

She continued to pay little attention to her business until last April, when she logged into her Promoter account and was stunned to find she was no longer THRIVING for free.

“I thought it was an April Fools’ joke,” she says. But Plunkett told Raine that if she wanted to THRIVE for free, she had to get back to work.
“That’s when I got my head on straight and worked to become a true leader,” says Raine. She started making big goals for herself and for her team, and she made it her mission to find and help moms who had lost their identities.

Once she was laser focused on that goal, Raine saw her business climb. She went from the 4K rank to the 40K rank within a month and last July, she reached the 80K milestone.

“I realized the key to my success was finding my niche and using my voice,” she says. Since Raine’s niche was moms, she would consistently share her personal experiences about being a mom on Instagram, both live and in posts. “My biggest thing I tell people is, ‘As a mom, we feel so guilty taking care of ourselves. . . but you can’t pour from an empty cup.’”
Raine’s posts have resonated with many, and they’ve helped her build momentum. She reached the 200K rank this spring.

Raine says Le-Vel Co-Founder and Co-CEO Paul Gravette refers to her as “The Comeback Kid” and holds her up as an example of someone who can overcome challenges to be successful.

Looking back now, Raine is happy that she had that initial setback with her business. “The time I fell back was a real period of growth for me,” she says. “I really needed that time to humble myself so that I could be a true leader.”
